Initially a tiny island south of Choctawhatchee bay, this popular sand bar has become one of the hottest attractions in Destin. Located north of the Destin bridge and accessible only by boat, it’s something you should experience at least once during your time here. Whether here for spring break with your family, on a girl’s vacay, or a couple’s getaway, a trip to Crab Island should certainly be on the agenda. Although the water may be cool for some in early March, you’ll be surprised how refreshing a quick dip is after lounging in the warm sun, playing volleyball, or throwing a frisbee on the beach.
